Vin's New Tricks
Everyday is so exciting around here, if you miss one day you miss a lot. Some of the fun things he is doing
- deliberately walking backward and being so proud of it
- dismounting off the bed backward
- can go down stairs by climbing down backward (do you see the backward theme here!)
- feeds the dogs from his highchair
- wiggles on command
- Slides down park slides on his own
- Claps at the right time when I sing "If you are happy and you know it..."
- Gives High Fives
- When I'm sitting on the floor he comes and peeks around my shoulder with a tilted head and the CUTEST "Watcha doin' grin"
Yesterday he found Teri's red cap in our closet and when I looked around the corner, this is what I found. Oh this was priceless!

For Mayme
My mother emailed yesterday to remind me that I hadn't blogged in a week. Her subject line was "Hey Lady!"
Here's my translation of this, "Kam, you haven't posted in a week and the last post wasn't even of my grandson but of you on a 4-wheeler. Post a new picture of that baby NOW!"
Ok Mayme here are some random shots from the last week or so. Also, he now has 3 teeth, 2 on top and one on bottom. He can dismount from our bed by sliding off on his tummy and just today he started balancing toys on Henry's back.

Gotta Love a Good Lesbian
Last week Teri and I cleaned out the garage and future craft studio at the new house. I know we haven't posted any details yet about the new house but they're coming soon.
Anyway... we cleaned out the old garage and the man that lived in this house must have loved this area. He had stuff in there from at least 1960 and it was such a window into his world. We quickly noticed that he liked to use nails to hang things on. Almost every available surface had a nail in it. Some things were still hanging like the collection of luggage handles? Weird? He was the epitome of "I might use these again one day"

So what does all this have to do with good lesbians? The family had cleaned out most of his stuff but there was still plenty for us to get rid of. I got there first and Teri was meeting me with our wheel barrow later. Our new neighbor saw me carry a trip to the curb and offered me her wagon but then said, "Better yet, why don't we hook up the 4 wheeler to my flatbed trailer"
So that's what we did. These women are awesome, they have 2 monster trucks whose tires are taller than me, a jet ski, a motorcycle, the 4 wheeler and God knows what else. They are very nice and not nearly as "dykey" as you are picturing them to be. So... You gotta love a good lesbian.

Warning: Racial Slur Ahead
Tonight Vin was eating mashed black beans on crackers. This was incredibly messy and Teri said “Hey, watch out there with your bean cracker” then we both cracked up because Vin (and Teri) are bean crackers. Ha!

Flashback Friday
Remember a few weeks ago when Teri thought I wasn't being fair with Flashback Friday? I scanned this then but wanted to save it for today while we're in Llano with all the family so they can all give her hell about it in person. I'm sure she will post a comment with all the gory details.
Happy 4th of July Teri!
