The pictures below show just a few of my fantastic friends who came to work. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen. It was a lot of hard and dirty work and I appreciate every bit of their time and effort!
And now the big reveal!
I chose a happy yellow for the walls and a soothing blue for the floors. These colors were chosen just after returning from Florida so I must have been inspired by Deana’s beachy house. All the future was painted black so that all the mixed pieces had a consistent look.
Teri bought me this large storage unit. I've divided my fabrics up by color and print. It's so nice to have everything in one place that is easy to see and easy to access.
This book shelf holds magazines and old enclclopedia’s that Vin can cut pictures out of. It also has my old Childcraft books.
All three windows have stained glass that I got from my Grandmother Taylor. In fact, the green side table, rug and the large hutch also came from her.

This is my actual sewing table but at the time the picture was taken I hadn't moved my machine out yet.
Teri modified a table we had to make it a raised cutting table. (My back thanks her!) It sits in the center of the room so I can work from it on all sides. It’s not shown in these pictures except for a corner here and there.
My favorite thing about the room is that I don’t have to clean it up. Finally my sewing machine has a home and she will live there until she dies. No longer will she be hauled from the closet to the dining room table. Half finished projects can stay where they are until I have time to get back to them.
