Rough Week

Vin's had a rough week with injuries.

On Sunday he fell twice and got two bruises on his face.

At school on Monday he scratched his face with his own fingernail, then a little girl bit him when they were fighting over the grocery cart then at lunch he fell out of his chair. All this in one day!

Yesterday he fell on his face and busted his lip. Then last night he was standing up in the bath and busted his face on the side of the tub. It was a big ouchie and his nose was bleeding (both sides) and his mouth was too. Blood was everywhere and he was screaming like I've never heard. Teri is in Florida so it was just us, wet, covered in blood and crying. I had to check his teeth to see if they were still there and wiggle them just to make sure.

Oh poor kid and it's just now Wednesday.

I've haven't posted lately because...
1. We've been busy at the house
2. My computer has a delay when I type so it takes forever to complete anything
3. My computer refuses to upload any pictures so the process to get picture from the phone or camera to the blog is a major hassle.

Here is a random sampling of what we've been up to. Hopefully I'll get the kinks worked out soon and get back on the posting bandwagon.

STATE FAIR


Vin having his first corny dog. I love how he's sitting in my lap but has his legs propped on his stroller. He's a super cool little dude.

Here we are riding his second ride. He rode the first one at Six Flags with Trevor a few weeks before. Check out his post ride face below. He loves them as much a me!

I won second prize in the Collections competition. My category was advertising so I submitted a couple of uniform catalogs for waitresses in the 1950's. Next year I'm going to enter a few other categories. I sized up the competition and I can so win again.

Vin, Henry and Bella, although more and more you can here us yell Vinry as we try and keep Vin and Henry out of trouble.

All is well

I thought I'd better post something as a follow up to the desperate post from last week. Thanks to everyone who posted comments, called me, fed me dinner, helped me unpack and volunterred babysitting.



Things at Casa De Leon are coming along. Teri got home on Thursday night and we've been slowly unpacking and getting things settled. Mostly though it feels like home because we're all 3 here together and we're eating real food made in our new kitchen.



As I write, I'm catching up on some school work, Teri is doing the laundry and making Vin and I meals for the week (did you know she's flying back to San Diego again tonight!) But honestly, what's more homey than a napping baby, laundry and and a tuna fish sandwich lunch on a rainy Sunday.
