Belly Dancing

Vin experienced his first Belly Dancer last night at Stratos and loved her! We went for Marion's mom's 70th birthday and had a blast. Vin also danced around the restaurant with the servers. He's beginning to think that dancing with your waitress is a regular restaurant activity.

Soccer Day 1

Vin's soccer team had their first practice yesterday. He had moderate interest but was distracted by the sand and the two playgrounds on either side of the field.
The first game is Saturday, I'll let you know how it turns out!

Quiet observation
More contemplation
Coach De Leon, directing from the sidelines. The real coach was playing Red Light, Green Light with the other kids and Vin kept yelling "Yellow Light!!!" and then went up to the coach and told him he forgot to say Yellow light.

Last Splash!

We had one last summer fling this weekend, heading to Glen Rose and Lake Granbury for an overnight trip.

Look closely below at the real track. It was so cool to see actual dinosaur tracks in their natural fossil setting. Vin thought every crack in the rocks or depression was a track and we just went along with his excitement.Looking for Dino tracks is hard work and Popsicles were needed.

LAKE GRANBURY

This beach was just minutes from the front door of our hotel. We splashed and played on the beach all afternoon.

Relaxing on the bed before we went to dinner. Vin was so confused about the hotel room. The last time he slept in a hotel he was 3 months old. He kept asking where we were, where were the bedrooms, where was the kitchen etc. So funny!
Babes Chicken House dinner. Perfect after a long day of fun and sun.
Making dino tracks out of playdough while waiting for our food. In the picture and video below Vin is line dancing with the waitresses.

Ok that's it, I'm calling it. Summmer is now offically over for the De Leon's. Bring on the pumpkins, leaves, open screen doors and sweaters!
