Update on our doings

I haven't done a "progress" report on the boys in a while and lots of fun stuff is going on with them.
Reese is officially on the move, he's been crawling for about 2 weeks now. So far he's only gone back and forth from the living room to the kitchen - but that's enough! I still haven't baby proofed the house and so I'm always on high alert.
He's also pulling to stand, which means that he's met another milestone on the way to walking.

He most noticeable trait is his hair. People used to comment on his size but that's kinda leveled out for his age and so now everyone talks about his hair. It is wild, fuzzy and so soft. It will not lay down, and why would we want it to? When he gets tired it starts to droop a little, but after he rests its back up.

A favorite activity is tearing up magazines.
FYI - that's a fake fire in the background, he's in no danger.

His nickname is prairie dog because he's always got his head up, twisted around to see what's happening.

Check out the fuzz head!

Vin spends his free time playing with cars, Lego's and coloring. I'm amazed at how many hours he can stay occupied with a coloring book. It's wonderful!
He's preparing for his Christmas dance show and they'll be caroling at the mall. Yesterday he was practicing his hand moves for "Santa Clause is Coming To Town".
He's a great brother, often singing to Reese and sharing toys. Reese cries when any of us leaves the room, so Vin will yell down the hall ... "I'll be right back Reese!"
So proud of the tall lego stairs. He worked on this forever last night.  I don't know if he'll ever let me move this off the kitchen counter.

His own LegoLand, complete with a shark tank and an observation tower.

The pool is complete and it was COLD but we did it! Vin can't wait until next summer.

Weekend Recap

Big family weekend. Lots of eating, drinking, fun and games. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Had to comment on this one... She's got a corn in one hand, a walking taco in the other while she's wearing Reese.
This is the perfect Teri moment.

Incredible Exploding House

We live in the Incredible Exploding House. This is what faced me after getting both the boys to sleep tonight. I'm taking a break from the cleaning to blog this but I can promise you that before I go to bed the kitchen will be clean, the laundry will be folded and all toys will be off the floor. I can also promise that tomorrow night at around 8:30 this scene will repeat itself.

We've Been Booed

I love love love our neighborhood! Teri and I totally lucked onto this house 3 years ago. It had sat empty for 2 years while the housing market tanked and it was completely unlivable. The kitchen ceiling was on the floor, half the house had plywood floors, along with a completely outdated a/c unit and foundation issues. The list went on and on and we got this house for a steal but more importantly we got the neighborhood and the neighbors.

Just last night we were all in the living room when we heard a loud knock. No one was there, but there was a present filled with chocolate cupcakes and this note.

I was so excited! I love this kind of thing and can't wait until tonight when we go "boo" our friends.
I still don't know who "booed" us, but I hope we find out!
